About Dama Game Online

Dama Game Online tracks a single word, dama, across every country that plays under it, and lets you play one of those traditions for free, right in your browser.

Why This Site Exists

"Dama" doesn't point to one game. Spain, Turkey, Italy, Brazil and Portugal, and the Philippines each play a game called dama, and the rulebooks don't match: board size, how far a king can move, even whether men can be captured backward all change from one tradition to the next. Most English-language sites cover one of these at a time, if any. This site's job is to lay out all five in one place, explain plainly how they differ, and let you actually play the version our engine supports (Spanish dama) without hunting for a download.

What You Can Play

• Dama (Spanish Draughts): flying kings, forward-only men, and the mandatory-capture rule with its kings tiebreak. It's the only tradition with a playable board here; Turkish and Filipino dama have their own rules guides, and Italian dama is covered in our five-traditions overview, since their movement rules don't fit the engine that runs this game.

You can play the computer at three difficulty levels, or hand the device to a friend and play hot-seat on one screen. Every move is calculated in your browser. There's no server involved and nothing to sign up for.
